This year is winding down. All vegetation outside is slowly dying and preparing for the frigid winter ahead. Quickly would be an understatement when describing how this year has past. So many things left untouched that should have been accomplished. In the words of numerous Americans, "Next year will be different and somehow I will find the motivation that has been lost over the years and turn a new leaf".
So, as 2012 rapidly approaches I can't help but wonder if Americans will start becoming motivated to change. So much stock has been invested into the belief that we, the human race, will be wiped out of existence in about 2 years. Will we be giving up capitalistic overindulgence and start working towards "A better tomorrow"? doubtful.
We have merchandise that tells us to "Be Green".... but do people grasp the reality - the state in which our earth is crumbling beneath our feet. It seems as though this is merely a trendy shopping experience for most. Consumerism is the beating heart of Capitalism - I say, let it bleed out.
I am known to have my fair share of random outbursts and soapbox rants... this morning... I felt pretty provoked and wanted to share some art I found that correlates with my verbal expression - please enjoy!

Magick Personified!
Relaxation..... finally - Today was a lot of hard work! I endured An organizational project of massive proportions! Now, however, I am reaping the benefits of a neat and tidy art space!
I made a discovery while cleaning today. A treasure trove of business cards and flyers from several different artists I've collected over the years. Many festivals and conventions visited - much information obtained.
For starters, I would like to share the art of Bruce Holwerda. His artwork is so fascinating and I could get lost in these images for days.

Secondly, Valerie Bunnell. She has this magickal way of creating some of the most stylishly incredible mixed media sculptures. The little details are incredible!
Last, but certainly not least is a little shop on etsy.com I stumbled upon! Star Creations is a shop full of whimsy and nature! much <3 for this shop.

Flyer Frenzy !
Recently, it seemed as though everywhere I went I saw this pink paper flyer. On this flyer consisted a drawing of a cute girl with sunken in eyes & a rising banner over her head saying " i would love to say no..." also a web address to THIS.
I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but i had to find out! Needless to say I'm happy with the results of fishgirlart.com. Maisy's art is magnificent! Better yet she sells some of it here & here, but for most of the selections on her web page contact Maisy Marrs directly @ Fishgirlart@gmail.com.
